African ChangeMakers Women Network celebrates the current eight female CEOs/MDs of different Nigerian banks.
In the past, the Nigerian Banking sector like the political scene has long been dominated by men but we are experiencing a paradigm shift as there is a surge in the increase of women in top positions of different Nigerian banks. We are delighted to about this and this will go a long way to positively impact young girls and other women while they positively affect their organization and nation.
Miriam Olusanya MD (GTbank)
Her appointment makes her the first MD of the financial institution which has been in existence for 31 years. She succeeded Segun Agbaje.
Olusanya obtained her first degree from the University of Ibadan and later bagged a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool. She teamed up with GTbank as an executive trainee in 1998.
